As soon as they got back into the hanger they both dismounted and went down the winding staircase.
“Its time I gave you the armor. You’ll need it when you fight the devourer.” Krimsol said as he descended before Aesthre. He opened a door and entered, with Aesthre following suite. This was the lab Aesthre had stumbled upon before, where Krimsol had put the protective band on his arm. Now Krimsol stood before the last of many containers, which held the armor he had promised to give Aesthre. He touched a panel and the glass cover slid up.
“It’s a pity I could only finish three of these suits before the virus spread to my tower.” Said Krimsol as he lifted the suit out of its case and brought it closer to Aesthre. “I’ll have to remove the bracers. It’ll only take a second.” Krimsol put the armor down onto a large table and started to work on it.
All this time Aesthre had managed to think of a question. “If all the residents in this place used to be people, then who… or what was the devourer?” he asked as he started to take off pieces of his worn out armor. Krimsol stopped his work and stood quietly for a whole minute.
He let out a long sigh the responded. “It’s my son.”
Aesthre was so surprised by the answer his fingers fumbled with a plate and it clattered onto the floor. “Your… your son?” he managed to stammer.
“Yes, technically it’s my son. Before the virus started my son was the best fighter pilot there was. I even made a ship built to perfectly match his skill level. When the others chose to start the destruction of our multiverse I brought my son here to survive with me.” Krimsol finished his work on the armor and started to help Aesthre remove the last of his old armor. Krimsol continued his story as he handed pieces of the new armor over to him.
“After we had survived the destruction we rejoiced until we found out that the virus had somehow made its way into our sanctuary. I managed to only make three suits that could protect a person from the disease before it reached my tower. I took the first one, the second is here, and the third is worn by my son. My son and I worked furiously to find a cure, until someone managed to break into our plane from your world. I had my son steal the control for the portal after sending the trespassers back through. Then we found a terrible problem: there was some sentience within the corrupted that drove them to seek out the controller. It wouldn’t allow my son to land his ship. He flew for as long he could until it finally brought him down as I could only watch. The corrupted took control of the ship with him still inside trying to get the controller, but he hid it within his suit. I can’t even say if he’s still alive or not, but it still doesn’t have the device.”
Aesthre snapped on the last piece of armor and tested out the joints. “It’s so light and unrestrictive.”
“That’s how my son wanted it to be.” Krimsol responded. “Now let’s set him free.”
This part is the final big talking scene. This is where you really learn a bit more about the previous world and how Krimsol still hadn't told Aesthre everything.

Also Krimsol talks about how his son was the best fighter pilot. this because I was thinking how I could make an awesome fighter ship game with some unique ideas and it had a prototype ship that needed a pilot to suit its unique abilities. So I decided Krimsol would have a son. When I revise the entire story again I may include a slight mention of his son.

Im so close to the end.
